A voucher is a ticket to take one of CompTIA's certification exams. Purchasing vouchers before the need to actually take the test, allows for more flexibility in payment and enables discounts where applicable, as in the Ohio IT Plus program. Vouchers have different prices depending on the status of the buyer. An unaffiliated test-taker will probably pay the highest, "sticker," or retail, price. Members of CompTIA pay a lower price. Students of educational members pay a very low price, often less than half the full cost. An Ohio educational institution can save it's students a lot of money by registering as a sub-member of CompTIA through the Ohio itWORKS-CompTIA Partnership. All Ohio students are eligible for the lowest price vouchers if their schools register.
Each public high school, adult workforce center, community college and four-year college or university that enrolls in the CompTIA partnership will receive a membership ID number, as a submember of the Ohio umbrella membership. This ID number will be required when ordering certification exam vouchers from either of CompTIA's test provider partners.
Membership ID numbers are provided upon enrollment in the program. If your institution still needs to register as a submember, faculty or administration representatives should follow the instructions here.

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. (Note that CompTIA's program is known as "E2C" ("Education to Career") by some vendors. The program was formerly known as "JOBS+" also. All these labels refer to the same program of which Ohio is a statewide member through the Ohio itWORKS-CompTIA Partnership.)
Vouchers are purchased directly from either Prometric or VUE, who are the two organizations that administer the certification examinations.

Ordering From Prometric
To purchase vouchers from Prometric contact the voucher team by phone at 1-800-616-3926 or by e-mail at vouchers@prometric.com. You may pay for your Prometric vouchers using a credit card (AMEX, Master Card or Visa), or you may use your pre-approved credit. If you do not have a pre-approved credit account you may obtain an application for credit through the voucher team. Be sure to identify your organization as an E2C member. All voucher purchase orders must designate JOBS+ and the test name and number.

Ordering From VUE
To purchase vouchers from VUE contact the voucher team by phone at 1-800-869-4101 or by e-mail at vouchers@vue.com. Or visit VUE's CompTIA Web site to access a voucher order form. You may pay for your VUE vouchers using a credit card (AMEX, Master Card or Visa), check or you may request credit. Be sure to identify your organization as an E2C member. All voucher purchase orders must designate the test name and number.
